Job Description

Kyiv Consulting is a dynamic consulting company and part of BDO Germany. We specialise in providing professional services, including audit support, market research and analytics, graphic design, digital marketing, IT user support, and other business services. Our team is currently looking for an Accountant with fluent German.

Responsibilities:

Maintain German accounting for various types of companies across different industries;

Communicate in writing and by phone with German colleagues who assign tasks, review completed work, and act as intermediaries with clients (via email or Teams);

Align complex or unusual transactions with German colleagues;

Process documents in DATEV: posting client-uploaded incoming/outgoing invoices and bank statements (manually or automatically, depending on the client) according to the chart of accounts (SKR04, SKR03);

Independently upload documents to Unternehmen Online (when clients send docu-ments by email or upload them to the BDO portal);

Maintain fixed assets: entries, depreciation;

Perform monthly automated uploads of recurring postings (WKB) or manually copy them from previous months;

Automatically upload payroll accounting data; manually enter payroll information into the system when required;

Maintain an automated electronic document archive;

Verify the completeness and accuracy of documents;

Prepare lists of questions for clients regarding missing invoices or unusual transactions identified during processing;

Independently review posted invoices/transactions before submitting them to German colleagues for validation;

Prepare cover emails for clients with the monthly reporting package generated automatically in DATEV;

Upload reporting packages to Doxis (DMS) for review and approval;

Make adjustments or corrections to the accounting records after the German colleagues’ review, if needed;

Handle client requests, such as modifying or canceling previously posted invoices. Track time spent on tasks with short descriptions in SAP and Excel;

Meet deadlines agreed upon with German colleagues; adjust priorities as needed depending on workload. The key monthly deadline is the 10th, for submitting VAT decla-rations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Higher education (a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields is a plus);

Willingness to learn new material and quickly absorb information;

Strong mathematical and analytical thinking;

Ability to work independently and make decisions;

Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines;

Excellent communication skills;

High attention to detail;

Fluent German (B2–C1 or higher) is mandatory; English is an advantage.
